5 Simple Tips to Maximise Christmas Profit

We have been busy preparing for the Christmas season here and thought it might be great to send you some tips to help you prepare and get through the busy season!  Before you know it, it will come and go and you will be left wishing you did things slightly differently!  

TIP 1: SET A CANCELLATION POLICY

Keep no shows to a minimum and set a cancellation policy.  Take deposits and require a minimum of 24 hours notice for change or cancellation of appointments.  Confirm all appointments via phone or text and put clients at ease by advising its to cover staff costs and that it will be refunded if that appointment space does get filled for the equivalent service.  This might be something you want to continue into the new year!

TIP 2: STOCK UP ON SUPPLIES & RETAIL ITEMS

Don't stress yourself out by running low on supplies.  Have a back-up adhesive on standby and order plenty of lashes, disposables and other items.  Take some time to do a small stock count and order a little more to cover you for just in case.

Christmas is one of the times clients are more likely to splurge on themselves.  They have so many functions coming up they want to maintain the salon results at home & some just like to treat themselves as a gift!

TIP 3: CREATE PACKAGES AS GIFTS

Significant others love having all the work done for them - create beautiful gift packages with retail items and gift vouchers for services and have them wrapped ready to go!  

For example, you could package a lash lift & tint, brow design with mascara & a brow product in beautiful cosmetic bag for a luxurious gift anyone would love to receive for Christmas! 

TIP 4: ENSURE YOUR SERVICE LEVELS REMAIN HIGH

You may be seeing clients you haven't seen before or who just want something done for Christmas.  Wow them and make them want to come back for more. Take care of yourself, eat well and ensure you plan enough breaks to keep your service and energy levels high for the whole day.  Make sure you are re-booking all customers at time of checkout and keep them coming back to avoid the new year slump.

TIP 5: TAKE NOTE

Take notes of what works well & what doesn't work so well - that way you will know exactly what to start preparing for next year!
